Shearer Park

This home from 1980’s located in Kanata, a suburb of Ottawa, had both interior and exterior spaces completely redone in a modern style.  The kitchen was done in high lacquered kitchen cabinets with quartz countertops.  The kitchen was also opened to the family room and the fireplace was faced with textured panels.  On the floor, stripes were made from large tiles in shades of grey to visually widen the space and add modernity.

George Brown

Neglected for 25 years, this split level bungalow in an old neighbourhood of West-Ottawa was in need of entire house remodelling.  The ground floor was opened up to create a bright and spacious living room, dining room and kitchen space complete with multi-functional island. Several bathrooms were re-done on the second floor of the home with luxurious elements.  The master bedroom was also enlarged for extra space and built in closets were added.  Throughout the home extra lighting was added the owners eclectic art pieces highlighted.

Little Italy Home

A 100 year home in the Little Italy area of Ottawa needed some major changes to update its interior.  The attic was stripped down and reinsulated to a spacious master bedroom and ensuite bathroom with a large shower.  A custom glass piece was added to separate the bathroom from the bedroom.  Extra lighting and clean finishes throughout the space allowed for a very contemporary feel for the homeowners.

Neill Nesbitt Park

This beautiful home situated in Barrhaven, a suburb of Ottawa was opened up with the removal of walls to create an airy, welcoming space.  The kitchen and the entire main floor, originally from 1970’s, were done in French-Country style with new cabinets, flooring and lighting added throughout the spaces.

Escarpment Park

This 30 year old house located on the hills of Katimavik, in west Ottawa, was given an updated and open feel by removing two walls on the ground floor. Opening up the dining room, family room and kitchen allowed a more functional kitchen and created space for a large 7’ wide island.  A tin ceiling was used for the backsplash and on the dining room ceiling for touches of modern country feel.

Weston Park

This small space, located in the Alta Vista neighbourhood of Ottawa, was built in the 1960s and was dated.  The owners wanted a modern and functional space to suit their needs.  Major interior structural changes with the house redesign created an open concept space for living, dining and entertaining.  A gas fireplace and built-in entertainment unit were added where an old stone fireplace originally sat.

Cahill Park Condo

This angular shaped condo was built in 1980’s near the Ottawa airport.  Due to multiple angles, the kitchen had a crowded and cramped feel.   To give the owners the kitchen they needed, the wall between the kitchen and the dining room was moved two feet into the dining room space.  This allowed the kitchen to have ample space and the addition of an island.  The home was done in an eclectic style to reflect owners’ collection of art and accessories.

Dows Lake Condo

The owner of this penthouse condo near Dow’s Lake inherited the space and wanted to modernize it to suit his needs.  The kitchen was opened up and a peninsula was added for eating the meals and enjoying the outside view.  One bedroom was converted to a study and another was finished to add guest bedroom.  The large outdoor balcony was finished with wood composite squares for flooring and an awning was added to protect the sun.

Pushman Park

This South Keys home was given a modern update in two phases of renovations.  The original 1980s kitchen was redesigned with high lacquered doors, and under cabinet lighting and cable-wire lighting were added.  The floors were done in grey and white stripes throughout the living room, dining room and hallway.  A beautiful custom sandblasted door was added between the kitchen and dining room for a unique touch.

Bryanstone Park

The young couple that bought this Stittsville area bungalow from the 1950s knew they were in for lots of work with the dark and poorly planned out home.  The space was gutted and redesigned to create a functional and contemporary house.  Built in closets were added throughout to add ample storage space.  Bright lighting, and warm flooring and paint were added to create brightness and warmth.

Greyfox Villa

This owner-built house west of Ottawa, in Almonte, sits on the top of a hill with spectacular views.  Two octagonal rooms in the house give a view from every corner of the house.  The interior of the house needed to match the beautiful surroundings so the kitchen, living room, study and the bathroom were redesigned in French-country style.  Lots of white and blue were used in the space along with plentiful storage for the family.

A custom home, built in late 70’s in a wooded part of Kanata, had extensive renovations completed to create an open concept, contemporary space.  The living room, dining room, family room, foyer, powder room and kitchen were all redesigned to give the owners a more functional and beautiful space.  Arts and Craft style design was used along with along with some modern elements.

Artistic Fisher Park

An infill home located near the Ottawa Civic Hospital was given a minimal modern feel in and out at the building stages of this home.  High lacquered cabinets and a blacksplash in lime green gave contrast to the otherwise the neutral colour scheme.   The owner, an artist by profession, required large spans of bare walls with neutral paint to display canvases of art.  Modern minimal pieces of furnishings also gave this 16’ wide home a spacious feel.

The homeowner of this Bungalow in Kanata was looking for a modern layout with an eclectic feel.  Walls were removed from around the kitchen and the family room to create an open living and dining area with a spacious, bright and modern feel.  An island in the kitchen added a multifunctional space with storage and eating space.  Bathrooms were also redone to give a spacious modern feel.

Urban Rockcliffe

This urban condo located in the Rockcliffe area of Ottawa was built in the 1970s and required modernization to meet the needs of its young owner.  The space was gutted and a modern, functional space was created.  A long island was installed in the kitchen with additional storage space in underneath.  Built in closets were added to the bedroom while the bathroom was given extra storage for linens along with a 5 feet wide shower for luxury.

Greenboro

This South Keys area home from early 1980’s had an inefficient layout which affected kitchen storage and overall functionality.  An addition was added to expand the kitchen for storage and eating/cooking areas.   The kitchen was done in a modern style to reflect the tastes of the owners.  Additionally, a two tier deck was built to connect the kitchen to the swimming pool area, adding ease for entertaining and summer enjoyment.

Rockland Home

Nestled among a large property overlooking the Gatineau hills in Rockland, east of Ottawa, this house was redesigned to reflect the natural space and the owners’ style.  A grand vaulted ceiling in the center of the home was finished in pine wood planks.  The home’s bathrooms were redone with glass and marble tiles to create a country style with a touch of French influence.

Marsha Park

This bungalow in the suburb of Ottawa, Orleans required a major update for the busy owners.  The wall between the kitchen and the dining room was removed to create a spacious kitchen and the dining room.  The dining room was furnished with a unique 8’long dining table made with wood from a Catholic Convent.  A multifunctional island was added for more space for meal prep and to create a cozy breakfast space.   The bathroom was also given an overhaul to add functionality and space.

Nepean Rustic Home

This two story house located in the Nepean suburb of Ottawa hadn’t been updated since it was built in the 1970s and required a major overhaul.  The owner, an active outdoorsman, wanted a rustic but updated feel.  Several walls were removed to make the space more open and airy.  The kitchen was done with warm woods and a butcher block island top was used to bring the outdoors in.

Morgan’s Grant Condo

This condo located in Kanata, a suburb of Ottawa, was a small space that needed to fill the many needs of its bachelor owner.  The space was maximized using several stylish built-in features.  A built in tv-system was positioned near a modern glass table to double as a dining space.  A lit bar was added between the living room and kitchen to create an area for a casual after work drink or weekend gathering.

Winterwood

The homeowner of this condo in South Ottawa wanted some country style luxury in her space.  The master bedroom, ensuite and the walk in closet were redone to reflect the style of the homeowner.  In the en-suite bathroom, a beautiful 5 feet shower was added along with a white vanity and a nook for a radio.  Lighting was also updated to give the space a warm cozy atmosphere.

Split-Storey

This split storey home, located near the Ottawa Riverside Hospital, had its bathrooms, kitchen, and living room redone while keeping some of the original pine wood and stone elements of the home.  Modern kitchen cabinetry was added with a high gloss lacquered finish to juxtapose the rustic pine ceiling and the stone fireplace.  A light valance was added over the cabinetry to brighten up the kitchen and add extra light over the counters.

Greenlawn

The owners of this home, a young couple who moved into their parents’ home in Nepean, wanted to redo the exterior of their home to reflect their modern taste.  A design was created for the façade of the home using Hardy boards, Galvalume and marine grade plywood.  The entrance door was created as a focal point of the home and enhanced by a stainless steel canopy.

Craig Park

A 50-year old home in the Kanata Lakes area required a major overhaul to create a classic and contemporary space.  In the front entrance, a wall was moved back into the study to provide a front closet. Another wall between the living and dining room was removed to connect the spaces and allow for the client’s 8 feet long dining table. Kitchen and bathrooms were updated with new layouts, cabinets, fixtures and lighting.
